Türkiye's Deputy Interior Minister Mehmet Cangir paid a courtesy visit to Türkiye's ambassador to Azerbaijan, Birol Akgün. The Turkish Embassy in Baku announced this.
Cangir is in the Azerbaijani capital to attend the third meeting of law enforcement ministers from member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on combating corruption.

Combating corruption on the OIC agenda
The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation brings together 57 countries and is the second-largest intergovernmental organisation after the United Nations. OIC law enforcement meetings focus on sharing experience and coordinating efforts to combat corruption.
Türkiye and Azerbaijan are strategic allies, and relations between the two countries are based on the principle of “one nation, two states.” The 2021 Shusha Declaration formalised the allied nature of these relations.
