Türkiye's ambassador to Ukraine, Fatma Ceren Yazgan, met with Serhii Kyslytsya, first deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. The meeting took place in Kyiv.
The Turkish Embassy said the sides discussed a wide range of issues, including security in the Black Sea region, bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region.

Türkiye and security in the Black Sea region
Since February 2022, Türkiye, citing the 1936 Montreux Convention, has closed the Bosphorus and Dardanelles straits to warships belonging to the warring parties. In 2022, Ankara also became one of the mediators of the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
Kyslytsya previously served as Ukraine's permanent representative to the United Nations and first deputy foreign minister. In 2025, he was part of the Ukrainian delegation at talks with Russia in Istanbul.
