President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received the foreign ministers who came to Türkiye for meetings of the regional quartet and its European partners at the Dolmabahçe Working Office in Istanbul.
The meeting was attended by Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, Pakistani Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan.
Erdoğan welcomed each of the ministers, after which a group photo was taken. Details of the conversation were not disclosed.

First meeting in an expanded format
Earlier the same day, a meeting of the four regional countries — Türkiye, Egypt, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia — was held in Istanbul under Fidan’s chairmanship. This was followed by the first meeting in an expanded format with the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Italy. The sides discussed the Palestinian issue, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, developments surrounding Yemen and ways to resolve the Russia-Ukraine war.

Following the meetings, Fidan told journalists that military intervention against Iran was not a solution and called on Russia and Ukraine to make an exception for energy and grain if the war does not end.
