NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said Kazakhstan could become one of the world’s hubs for physical artificial intelligence. He said this depends on energy resources as well as specialists in science and technology.
Huang visited Astana for the first time and took part in an Astana Hub event at the Alem.AI International Artificial Intelligence Center, where he answered questions from Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, Jaslan Madiyev.

Huang noted that artificial intelligence is not only about digital products but also a new industrial sector that requires energy, data and substantial computing capacity. “In the future, you will be able not only to export energy but also to convert it into artificial intelligence capacity and export that,” he said. He said countries should develop AI using their own data, reflecting their culture, history and values.
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Huang at the Akorda residence and presented him with the Order of Dostyk, 1st Degree, for his contribution to developing the national artificial intelligence ecosystem.
