Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine is ready to sit down for negotiations with Russia to mutually halt air strikes targeting agricultural and energy infrastructure.
Zelenskyy assessed the latest developments in the Russia-Ukraine war during a meeting with local and foreign journalists on Sunday. Saying that air strikes against Ukraine were continuing, Zelenskyy claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin did not want to end the war and had expanded the scope of the attacks.
Energy infrastructure and grain corridor under attack
The Ukrainian leader said the grain corridor and energy infrastructure were facing intense Russian attacks. Zelenskyy reiterated that Ukraine was ready to discuss with Russia a mutual halt to attacks targeting agricultural and energy infrastructure.
The Russia-Ukraine war has continued since February 24, 2022. Russia has made Kyiv's renunciation of joining Western military formations a condition for ending the war, while Kyiv views this approach as interference in its internal affairs.
