Tatyana Kim, founder of Russia's largest online retailer Wildberries, described the attacks by Ukrainian forces on the company's logistics centers as international terrorism.
Speaking to TASS, Kim said, 'Ukraine's attack on civilian infrastructure, ordinary citizens and our employees is an act of international terrorism.'
Kim recalled that there were deaths and injuries in the attacks Ukraine carried out on July 18 and 22 on Wildberries warehouses in the Moscow and Tambov regions, as well as the Krasnodar and Stavropol krais.
Emphasizing that all of the company's warehouse complexes are insured but that current insurance policies do not cover terrorism risks and drone attacks, Kim said such risks are not included in standard coverage and must be added separately.
Kim stated, 'Today, Rosgosstrakh also confirmed this situation. We support the initiative of insurance companies to develop such products and believe that finding a systemic solution is an urgent need.'
The Wildberries founder stated that all efforts are directed at redistributing goods, and announced that the service regarding sellers' questions about product shipments will return to normal within 24 hours.
Announcing that the warehouse in the Tambov region was not damaged and will reopen soon, Kim added that damage assessment work is ongoing at other facilities.
Wildberries, which has been operating in Russia for 17 years, had come to the fore in recent days due to drone attacks.
