The Turkish OYAK group is ready to participate in building housing complexes and external infrastructure facilities in New Tashkent. The issue was discussed at a meeting between Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the company’s CEO, Murat Yalçintaş.
The meeting took place in Ankara during the 13th summit of the Organization of Turkic States, Uzbekistan’s presidential press service said. The Turkish side also expressed interest in joint investment projects in the chemical industry, geology and construction.
Mirziyoyev said strategic partnership relations with Türkiye had been developing consistently in recent years and emphasized the role of business communities in this process.

New Tashkent is a major urban development project on the outskirts of the capital. In October, seven facilities with a total value of $1 billion were commissioned there, including the first phase of the Shark bahori residential complex. Construction also began on 10 more major projects worth $2.5 billion, with participation from partners in China, Türkiye and the UAE.
In Ankara, Mirziyoyev also met with executives from the Turkish companies Evyap Holding, EKSIM Holding and Anadolu Group.
