Moscow Deputy Mayor Maksim Liksutov, who is responsible for transport and industry, announced that an automatic blood pressure monitor developed entirely in Russia is being prepared for mass production at the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone. Developed by Elta, the device is intended to help identify risks associated with cardiovascular diseases at an early stage.
The company, which also produces Russian-made glucometers, will launch the new product under the Satelit brand. A batch of test samples is currently being prepared as part of the project.
Elta will use its own electronic components
Liksutov said the blood pressure monitor would use electronic components manufactured by Elta itself. He noted that the company had produced more than 8.4 million microchips for use in its devices in the first half of 2026, adding that work ahead of mass production was continuing.

With support from the Moscow Industry and Entrepreneurship Support Fund, Elta has also established infrastructure that includes a research and development laboratory for high-tech medical devices. The company has purchased new equipment to expand its production capacity and meet the growing volume of products, enlarging through the project one of the production areas contributing to Russia’s technological independence.
Features of the Satelit blood pressure monitor
The device will measure blood pressure and pulse across a wide range. The monitor will identify irregular heart rhythms, calculate average blood pressure, and display the results according to the World Health Organization’s color-coded assessment scale.
Its electronic recording system will allow up to 130 measurements for two users to be stored in the device’s memory. Bluetooth connectivity will enable measurement results to be synchronized with the Satelit mobile application and transmitted remotely to the doctor monitoring the patient.
With one-button operation, a backlit display, and voice guidance, the device is intended to be easy for older users in particular to operate without assistance.

More than 240 high-tech companies operate at Technopolis Moscow
The Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its establishment in 2026. Founded as a launchpad for innovation projects, the zone later developed into an industrial center operating in microelectronics, device manufacturing, biomedicine, information technology, and robotics.
More than 240 high-tech companies operate across the special economic zone’s 10 sites, covering a total area of 430 hectares. The Moscow administration says that the production and support mechanisms in the zone are strengthening the country’s technological independence and expanding the presence of innovative products in global markets.
The activities of Technopolis Moscow companies are linked to the goals of Russia’s national projects focused on long and active lives and an efficient, competitive economy. Liksutov had also announced that in September 2026, a company operating in the zone had begun mass production of gearboxes and geared motors for general industry together with a consortium of Chinese machine manufacturers.
