Republic of Türkiye missions and areas of responsibility

IN SHORT

The mission you are affiliated with is determined by the region where you live, and for some procedures by the place where the event occurred.
For consular procedures, select the country, mission, and procedure, and make a separate appointment for each procedure.
Outside working hours, you can use the duty phone of the mission responsible for you or the 24/7 call center.
Some criminal record, civil registry, and multilingual record documents can be requested by mail using e-Government.

  5. Some procedures can be completed by mail without an appointment: birth registration of a child born within marriage, marriage registration, and death registration (see O1.2).

    • criminal record certificate (in Russian and Turkish)
    • civil registry record extract

  • It cannot pay your debts, bills, or hospital expenses.
  • It cannot ensure your entry into another country or interfere with that country's immigration and residence decisions.

Common mistakes

  • Making an appointment without checking the area of responsibility. For example, if you live in Tatarstan, you must apply to Kazan rather than Moscow.
  • Trying to pay the fee in rubles in St. Petersburg or in dollars or hryvnia in Kyiv.
  • Calling the duty phone for routine questions. This line is for emergencies outside working hours.
  • Failing to make a separate appointment for each procedure.
  • Calling outside the telephone information hours and assuming that nobody can be reached.
  • Settling abroad without filing an address declaration (see O1.6).
