Governor of Yaroslavl Region Mikhail Evraev inspected the planned pedestrian center project in the city's historic area on site. According to a statement from the regional government’s press service, Governor Evraev assessed the progress of the work.
It was reported that the renovation work on Maksimova Street has been completed. Currently, work is ongoing on Deputatskaya, Nakhimsona, and Andropova streets, the square in front of the Alexander Nevsky Chapel, and Deputatskiy Lane. After the work in these areas is finished, the redevelopment of Kirov Street will begin.
Governor Evraev drew attention to infrastructure problems encountered during the work. He stated that when they removed the pavement on Deputatskaya Street, they found many more communication lines than indicated on the maps. He also noted that the rainwater drainage systems on Nakhimsona and surrounding streets need to be replaced.
