Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) targeted energy infrastructure in occupied Crimea and a gas processing plant in Russia's Orenburg region on the night of June 24 into June 25.
Power outages hit several parts of Crimea following the attacks. Explosions were heard at the Simferopol Power Plant, while Sevastopol's main electrical substation sustained multiple hits, cutting off power completely in the city.
Officials from the occupation administration announced that roughly half of the peninsula was left without electricity.
Meanwhile, due to Ukraine's increasing attacks on Crimea's energy infrastructure, fuel stations in the occupied peninsula were instructed to completely halt fuel sales to civilian vehicles starting June 21.
The Orenburg Gas Processing Plant in Russia's Orenburg region was also struck by Ukrainian UAVs. A fire broke out at the facility and production was halted.
