Thirteen people were killed on October 29 when a Russian drone struck a railway station in Dnipro, said Alexander Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration. Authorities and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said 10 others were injured, including an 11-year-old boy.
Zelensky later said the number of injured had risen to 13, with 13 people killed. "Sanctions against Moscow and its war machine must not be eased as long as the war continues," he said.
Drone hits platform beside trains

Ukrzaliznytsia said the jet-powered drone struck a platform beside which a commuter train and passenger train No. 866, the “Dnipro–Zaporizhzhia,” were standing. The company said people were on the platform despite the heightened danger warning.
Footage from the scene shows damaged carriages, smoke rising above the tracks and people lying on the platform. Local authorities warned that the death toll could rise.
Strike on railway infrastructure
Dnipro is one of Ukraine’s largest transport hubs, with trains passing through it to frontline regions. The country’s railway infrastructure has regularly been targeted by Russian strikes since the war began in 2022.
