Brazil's Ambassador to Moscow, Sergio Rodriguez dos Santos, announced in a statement to RIA Novosti that Brazil wants to increase its exports of tropical fruits to Russia.
The Ambassador said, "We would be very interested in exporting grapes, mangoes, and also kiwis to Russia."
Dos Santos emphasized that trade between the two countries needs to be diversified and that there is an imbalance issue in commercial relations.
The diplomat stated, "Last year we exported $1.5 billion worth of goods to Russia. However, our imports were almost eight times higher. The previous year saw a similar situation. We need to balance this somehow."
