The 63rd International Golden Orange Film Festival in Antalya will screen films by filmmakers working amid war and occupation. The festival will run from October 24 to 31.
The special program “Roots, Light and Camera!” features 13 short and feature-length films from Palestine, Iran, Lebanon and Ukraine. Festival artistic director Deniz Yavuz said the program allows audiences to see through these films what filmmakers and artists in the regions feel and gives them an opportunity to be heard. More than ten films will have their Turkish premieres.

The Turkish premieres will include Ukrainian director Gleb Feldman’s “Another Day in a Metal Box” and Iranian director Babak Hajepashi’s “Land of Angels.” Iranian director Yazdan Tabrizi’s “Neither Sight nor Sound” will have its world premiere in Antalya. Audiences will also see Annemarie Jacir’s “Palestine 36,” a co-production of Palestine, the United Kingdom, France, Denmark, Qatar and Türkiye, with Turkish broadcaster TRT as a co-producer.
The program also features Lebanese films, as well as Nikolai Zaseyev’s Ukrainian-French production “Easter Day.”
