American rapper Macklemore concluded the European leg of his tour in support of Palestine with sold-out concerts in Paris and London.
Before the October 29 concert at Paris's Accor Arena, the musician met four children and teenagers from Gaza, some of whom were injured during the war. The children are receiving assistance from a humanitarian organization, which published footage showing Macklemore talking with them and walking alongside a girl on crutches.
A T-shirt supporting Barghouti
At the final concert on October 30 at London's OVO Arena Wembley, the rapper took the stage wearing a T-shirt bearing the words “Freedom for Marwan” in solidarity with Palestinian politician Marwan Barghouti.
One of the leaders of the Fatah movement, Barghouti has been held in an Israeli prison since 2002; in 2004, he was sentenced to five life terms.

UN rapporteur joins him onstage
In London, Francesca Albanese, the UN special rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, joined Macklemore onstage, while Palestine's ambassador to the United Kingdom, Husam Zomlot, presented the rapper with a gift made of olive wood containing Palestinian soil.
Earlier, a concert took place in Dublin on October 26 as part of the tour. Proceeds from the concerts are being donated to 12 organizations assisting Palestinians, including the Palestine Children's Relief Fund.
In September, Macklemore was removed from Ed Sheeran's U.S. tour after calling for the liberation of Palestine at a concert in New Jersey. Sheeran said the decision was made by the promoter.
