Turkish ambassador visits Tajikistan’s new National Theatre building
Türkiye’s Ambassador to Tajikistan Umut Acar visited the National Theatre building that opened in Dushanbe last month and discussed cultural cooperation and joint projects for 2027 with its director, Manuchehr Sharifzoda.
Türkiye’s Ambassador to Tajikistan Umut Acar visited the new building of the National Theatre of Tajikistan, which opened in Dushanbe last month, and met the theatre’s director, Manuchehr Sharifzoda.
The two discussed Turkish-Tajik cooperation in culture and the arts, as well as joint projects that could be carried out in 2027.
Mevlana’s tomb on the theatre wall
“The theatre building is truly magnificent,” the ambassador wrote, noting that a detail showing the tomb of Mevlana (Rumi) in Konya on a marble panel inside the building was particularly striking.
Acar has served as Türkiye’s ambassador in Dushanbe since February 2023.
