Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said Russian attacks caused destruction and damage across 13 regions of the country overnight.
According to Zelenskyy, a Russian drone struck a residential building in Odesa. Seventeen people, including three children, were injured in the attack, which damaged several apartments in the building.
Response efforts continue after the attacks
Zelenskyy said response efforts were continuing in the Obukhiv and Boryspil areas, adding that teams from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine responded to a fire at a pharmaceutical company’s warehouse.
Zelenskyy said Nikopol, Kherson, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia and Khmelnytskyi were also targeted in the attacks.
Statement on the duration of the alerts
Zelenskyy said air raid alerts in many cities and settlements had barely ended because of the threat. He said Russia had “found a new method of escalation” and added that there was no plan to reduce the pace of the attacks.
