Turkish ambassador attends inauguration of Estonia’s new President Ülle Madise
Türkiye’s Ambassador to Estonia Yonca Özçeri attended the swearing-in ceremony of Estonia’s new President Ülle Madise at the Riigikogu on Oct. 12 and the official reception that followed.
Türkiye’s Ambassador to Estonia Yonca Özçeri attended the swearing-in ceremony of Estonian President Ülle Madise at the Riigikogu, the country’s parliament, on Oct. 12, as well as the official reception that followed. The Turkish Embassy in Tallinn congratulated the new president.
Madise was elected by the Riigikogu on Sept. 2 in the first round with 71 votes, three more than the 68 required. She succeeded Alar Karis and became Estonia’s second female head of state.
Madise had served as Estonia’s Chancellor of Justice since 2015.
