Turkish envoy in Ashgabat discusses energy cooperation with Turkmen deputy PM
Türkiye’s Ambassador to Turkmenistan Şener Cebeci met Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Guvanch Agajanov, who oversees oil and gas, to discuss cooperation in energy resources.

Türkiye’s Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Şener Cebeci, visited Guvanch Agajanov, deputy chairman of Turkmenistan’s Cabinet of Ministers responsible for oil and gas, the Turkish Embassy in Ashgabat said.
According to the embassy, the two discussed ways to develop bilateral cooperation in energy resources.
Energy at the heart of ties
Turkmenistan holds some of the world’s largest natural gas reserves, and energy is one of the main areas of cooperation between Ankara and Ashgabat. In 2025, Türkiye’s BOTAŞ and Turkmengaz signed an agreement for Turkmen gas to be delivered to Türkiye through Iran under a swap arrangement.
