Netanyahu’s address to the 81st UN General Assembly drew attention after country representatives left the hall and Tibi issued sharp remarks.
In a post on X, Palestinian-origin lawmaker Ahmad Tibi referred to Netanyahu by saying, “Voluntary migration from the hall. Another international success for Netanyahu.”
During the speech, many country representatives left the UN General Assembly hall in protest against what they described as Israel’s genocide in Gaza, land seizures in the occupied West Bank, and attacks on Syria and Lebanon.
Netanyahu was seen bringing some Israelis into the General Assembly hall to applaud him as he addressed an almost empty chamber.
