Free country guides prepared to support Russia's exports to various Eurasian and Asian markets have reached more than 600 companies on the Moy Eksport digital platform. The Russian Export Center announced on August 18 that the total number of applications for the six guides had exceeded 880.
The guides explain the business environment in six markets
Prepared as part of the Russian Export Center's training program, the guides help companies seeking to enter international markets become familiar with the business environment in their target countries. They also aim to help companies communicate more effectively with foreign partners.
The platform features country guides for China, India, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye and Uzbekistan. The guides examine the economic and commercial characteristics of these countries while focusing on export opportunities for Russian companies.
Commercial practices and cultural norms
The guides include examples of real-world business practices, practical advice and information on avoiding common mistakes when entering a new market. The content is intended for companies starting to export, businesses expanding their supplier base and specialists in foreign economic relations.
Each guide consists of three sections. The first covers the country's general characteristics, economy, leading sectors and available opportunities for Russian exports.
The second examines the conduct of business negotiations, contract signing, commercial communication and differences in decision-making processes. The final section focuses on meeting etiquette, unwritten business rules and the traditions and behavioral norms to observe in intercultural interactions.
Online export support for companies
The Russian Export Center said the guides were prepared using the expertise of foreign economic relations specialists and experience gained through support programs for Russian exporters. The guides explain complex processes in accessible language, while their recommendations are tailored to practical problems that companies may encounter.
Operating within the VEB.RF Group, the Russian Export Center is a state institution supporting non-commodity and non-energy exports. It provides companies with financial and non-financial assistance at various stages of entering international markets.
Most of the center's services are provided online through the Moy Eksport digital platform. The institution also carries out the main tasks related to implementing and operating the Made in Russia program.
