Russia will raise the minimum monthly income requirement for highly qualified foreign specialists to 717,000 rubles from March 2027. The general income threshold will thus nearly triple.
The minimum monthly income requirement will be set at 358,500 rubles for scientists and teachers, as well as foreign specialists working for accredited IT companies and in certain special economic zones.
Employers will need to update their existing contracts and wage policies to comply with the new income requirements.
