A Romanian citizen convicted of espionage in Moscow admitted to passing the location of a Russian Armed Forces air defense unit on the road between Sochi and Adler to a Ukrainian official.
In a video released by the FSB, the suspect is heard saying he "saw an air defense unit on the road from Sochi to Adler." In the same statement, he described the unit as being on the right side of the road and said he memorized the intersection.
The suspect later stated he located the point on a map and sent the information to the person he was in contact with, thereby admitting he shared location data on Russian air defense assets.
The video also includes footage of the Romanian citizen's detention. When operatives asked for his identity, he identified himself as David Adrian.
The recording also shows the reading of the court verdict. It was previously reported that the Romanian citizen, whose surname was given as Kerço, received a 15-year prison sentence for espionage and passed information on air defense systems in Sochi to Ukrainian services.
The case has become one of the files tracked under the security and intelligence heading in Russia. The court ruling and the footage released by the FSB constitute the main elements of the dossier made public.
