Rosneft contributed more than 5 trillion rubles to the Russian budget in 2025, including taxes and other mandatory payments, according to the company's annual general meeting statement by Igor Sechin.
Sechin stated that the company has long been one of the largest taxpayers in the Russian Federation and plays a significant role in generating federal budget revenues.
The company's net profit for 2025, attributed to the main shareholders, was 293 billion rubles, marking a 3.7-fold decrease compared to the previous period.
Rosneft's EBITDA, which represents earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization, fell to 2.173 trillion rubles, reflecting a 28.3% annual decline.
The company's revenue for 2025 decreased by 18.8% to 8.236 trillion rubles, impacted by falling oil prices and a stronger ruble.
While Rosneft maintains its dominance in the Russian energy sector through both tax contributions and financial results, the reported figures indicate a noticeable slowdown in the company's revenue growth.
