Poland has decided to keep open the investigation into the missile explosion in Przewodów, near the Ukrainian border. Two Polish farmers were killed in the 2022 incident.
Polish authorities attribute the investigation’s nearly three-year suspension to claims that Ukraine has not cooperated with the inquiry. Polish investigators said the Ukrainian prosecution service had not responded to their requests for judicial assistance or repeated applications.
Requests for judicial assistance to continue
Polish investigative authorities will not close the case despite the obstacles. Officials will continue sending reminder letters along with requests for judicial assistance.

The explosion occurred in November 2022 in the village of Przewodów, in Poland’s Lublin Voivodeship, near a grain-drying facility close to the Ukrainian border. Two Polish citizens were killed.
Polish investigators concluded that the munition that landed on Polish territory was a missile from an S-300 air defense system. They also said that the missile had been launched by the Ukrainian army.
