On October 3, an argument broke out in the Novogireyevo district of eastern Moscow after a woman warned a group of people. She called a man she knew to the scene by phone to ask for help.

When the man arrived, he saw that the woman was being assaulted and intervened. The members of the group then struck him several times before leaving the area.
The woman and the man, who sustained injuries of varying severity, were taken to hospital. The Moscow branch of Russia’s Interior Ministry said four suspects linked to the incident had been identified and detained at their residences.

The branch said two of the suspects were 18 years old and the other two were minors. It added that materials related to the incident, along with the detained suspects, would be handed over to investigative authorities for further proceedings.
