The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) published a video titled “From Nakhchivan to the present: a path of unity, solidarity and cooperation” ahead of the organization’s 13th summit in Ankara. The video carries the slogan “Together, we are stronger.”
Speaking after a Cabinet meeting, Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Ankara would host the 13th OTS summit, which he called a “family council,” on Friday, October 30.
The organization’s history dates back to the Turkic Council, established in 2009 under the Nakhchivan Agreement. At a summit in Istanbul in 2021, it was renamed the Organization of Turkic States. The OTS members are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan, while Hungary, Turkmenistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus hold observer status.
