YTB and Belarus mufti discuss education and youth cooperation
Murad Kazanci, deputy chairman of Türkiye’s Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), received Abu-Bakir Shabanovich, chairman of the Muslim Religious Association of Belarus and the country’s mufti. The sides discussed joint work in education, culture and youth policy.
Murad Kazanci, deputy chairman of Türkiye’s Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), received a delegation led by Abu-Bakir Shabanovich, chairman of the Muslim Religious Association in the Republic of Belarus and the country’s mufti.
At the meeting, held at the YTB building, the sides discussed areas of joint work, particularly in education, culture and youth policy.
YTB works with the Turkish diaspora and related communities abroad and implements the Türkiye Scholarships program (Türkiye Bursları), through which students from many countries, including CIS states, study at Turkish universities.
The Muslim Religious Association in the Republic of Belarus brings together the country’s Muslim communities, a significant proportion of whom are historically Belarusian Tatars.
