A Moscow court has registered a new administrative protocol against singer Monetochka (real name Yelizaveta Gırdımova), who has been designated as a foreign agent, for failing to comply with foreign agent legislation.
The protocol was issued under a clause related to a foreign agent's failure to provide information about themselves to the relevant authorities. According to court documents, the hearing will take place on July 23, and the singer is expected to be fined between 30,000 and 50,000 rubles.
Monetochka is also charged in absentia in a criminal case for evading foreign agent obligations. This case has also been forwarded to the court for consideration. According to the capital's prosecutor's office, despite having been punished twice before during the year with administrative responsibility, the singer continued to publish content on social media without the required labeling.
Monetochka, designated as a foreign agent, has been placed on Russia's international wanted list and arrested in absentia.
