Golikova says Russia-China strategic partnership reaches unprecedented level
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said on October 19, 2026, in St. Petersburg that Russia-China relations had reached an unprecedented level. Golikova said the development was continuing on the basis of the 2001 agreement.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said the comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation between Moscow and Beijing had reached an unprecedented level.
Golikova said the two countries’ leaders had contributed to bringing relations to this level. She stated that Russia-China relations continued to develop on the basis of the 2001 Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation.
The Russian deputy prime minister said, "Thanks to the leaders of the two countries, Russia-China relations based on comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation have reached an unprecedented level." Golikova also said that the 25th anniversary of the agreement was celebrated in 2026.
The 27th meeting of the Russia-China Commission on Humanitarian Cooperation was held in St. Petersburg on October 19. Tatyana Golikova and Chinese State Councilor Shen Yiqin chaired the meeting.
