Participants in a pro-Palestinian protest said security guards at a TT Electronics factory in Rochdale, England, dragged them around "like rag dolls" as they tried to block the plant's entrance on Monday, Oct. 19.
Despite this, the activists locked themselves to the gates of the factory in Greater Manchester using lock-on devices covered with Palestinian flags, and poured red paint over the road in front of the entrance. According to the protesters, the paint symbolizes the consequences of the company's activities.

"We're trying to shut it down all day. TT Electronics make F-35 parts, they're crucial to the supply chain," one of the participants said in a video, urging others to join the blockade.
"Israel wouldn't be able to commit the genocide in Gaza without places like this," the protester added.
F-35s and Elbit drones

According to Anadolu, the activists claim components from the factory are used in F-18 and F-35 fighter jets and in drones made by Israel's Elbit Systems. There is no independent confirmation of these claims.
British company TT Electronics bought the power and control business of Ferranti Technologies for £9 million in January 2022 from Elbit Systems UK, the British subsidiary of the Israeli defense group.
In September 2024, the British government suspended 30 arms export licenses to Israel but left F-35 components outside the restrictions, citing the structure of the program's global supply chain.
