Aliyev praises Meloni’s role in Azerbaijan-Italy strategic partnership
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev praised Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s contribution to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries. Aliyev congratulated Meloni on becoming the longest-serving prime minister in the history of the Italian Republic and said he believed cooperation would deepen.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev congratulated Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on her tenure and praised her role in developing the strategic partnership between the two countries.
In a post on his X account, Aliyev said Meloni had become the longest-serving prime minister in the history of the Italian Republic. The Azerbaijani president said this achievement demonstrated Meloni’s strong leadership, political determination and the trust placed in her by the Italian people.
He highlighted her contribution to the strategic partnership
Aliyev said he greatly valued Meloni’s personal role and significant contribution to strengthening the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Italy, and assessed the future of relations between the two countries.
Aliyev said he believed the friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy would continue to deepen and expand in the future for the benefit of the countries and their peoples.
