In Russia, the employment rates of young people studying in the field of pedagogy reveal the strength of the education system. According to data from the Ministry of Education, approximately 85 percent of students graduating from pedagogy universities start working within the first year after completing their education.
By the end of 2025, the number of graduates employed in this manner exceeded 30,000. The ministry expects more than 52,000 students to graduate from universities offering education in the field of pedagogy in 2026. Among these graduates, it is estimated that over 13,000 will receive diplomas with honors.
From the ministry-affiliated pedagogy universities, a total of over 66,000 students graduated this year, 18,000 of whom completed their education with high honors.
Russian Education Minister Sergey Kravtsov said in a statement: "The modern education system offers young specialists broad opportunities for professional development and for realizing their initiatives. The teachers of tomorrow are trained at a high professional level, drawing on the best local methods and modern technologies, which makes graduates competitive and sought after."
In this year's student admission campaign, a total of 37,516 state-funded spots were allocated at ministry-affiliated pedagogy universities for the expanded specialty group "Education and Pedagogy Sciences."
