During a government meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted Rosneft's efforts to bolster fuel supply in the region as he assessed remarks by Transbaikal Region Governor Aleksandr Osipov. Putin stated that he believes Rosneft's work with private fuel stations will produce positive outcomes for retail fuel supply.
The Russian leader noted that Rosneft meets approximately 89% of daily retail consumption in Transbaikal, especially in the eastern regions, and has signed several contracts with private companies. 'I hope this work will bring positive results,' Putin said, stressing the importance of cooperation between vertically integrated companies and private fuel stations.
Summer fuel supply issues and measures taken
In Russia, fuel supply disruptions occurred this summer due to changes in logistics. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Novak had announced that the government took a series of measures to improve the situation, such as banning gasoline and diesel exports, facilitating fuel imports, and offering tax incentives to boost production.
The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) reported that the country's airports have the necessary fuel volumes.
