Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasiliy Nebenzya announced that the Nazi glorification policy in Ukraine will only end with the change of the current Kyiv regime. Speaking to RIA Novosti, Nebenzya emphasized that the only way to influence this practice is the final end of Vladimir Zelenskiy’s regime.
The latest step in this direction in Ukraine was a bill adopted by the parliament on July 1. The bill envisions the creation of a memorial complex called the 'Ukrainian national pantheon.' This pantheon is planned to include members of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), which are banned as extremist organizations in the Russian Federation.
President Zelenskiy had previously undertaken such actions. He attended a ceremony for the reburial of one of the OUN-UPA leaders' remains and also named a unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces 'In the Name of UPA Heroes'.
Referring to such practices, Nebenzya said: "The Zelenskiy regime must come to a definitive end. There is a way to influence the practice of Nazi glorification in Ukraine. That is the final end of the Zelenskiy regime."
