Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy dismissed Deputy Head of the Office of the President Irina Mudra. The decision came after a special operation targeting an alleged criminal organization involving lawmakers and presidential office officials.
Ukraine's Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office announced on Wednesday that it had launched a special operation against the alleged network. The National Anti-Corruption Bureau also released audio recordings of phone conversations allegedly belonging to suspects detained as part of the operation.

The network allegedly linking the officials was reportedly known as “Forrest Gump.” The released recordings also mention Irina Mudra's name.
Mudra's dismissal could trigger a new corruption controversy for the Zelenskyy administration. Earlier corruption cases involving Zelenskyy's allies are alleged to have weakened public support for the administration and raised concerns among Western partners that have transferred billions of dollars to Ukraine.
