Russia’s embassy in the UK warned that increasing Britain’s support for Kyiv would have consequences and accused London of aiding Ukrainian drone attacks deep inside Russian territory.
In a statement posted on Telegram on Monday, the embassy addressed reports that British-made drones had been used in Ukrainian attacks inside Russia. It claimed that London was deliberately escalating the conflict despite asserting that it supported peace efforts.
Reaction to Britain’s support for Kyiv
Russia’s embassy in the UK accused Britain of aiding what it called Ukraine’s “terrorist attacks.” The embassy said that London would pay a price for increasing its support for Kyiv.
“The deeper the intervention in the conflict and the greater the support for Kyiv’s terrorist machine, the higher the price to be paid.”
Reports on drones made by British companies
The Independent, citing The Times, said that Ukrainian forces had used drones produced by two British companies in attacks deep inside Russia over the past six months.
The report said the actions included attacks on oil refineries in Volgograd and near Moscow, as well as strikes targeting logistics centers.
According to The Independent’s account of the report, transport infrastructure and facilities belonging to Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer, were also among the targets.
