Sergey Mironov, leader of the A Just Russia party and head of its Duma faction, proposed a one-time payment of at least 100,000 rubles upon the birth of the first child in student families.
Mironov made the statement during the second part of the party's 15th pre-election congress held in Moscow.
Mironov said, "We propose a one-time payment of at least 100,000 rubles upon the birth of the first child in student families. This payment is already being implemented in some regions, and we need to expand it nationwide."
The party leader stressed the need for additional steps to increase support for student parents, adding, "At the federal level, the one-time childbirth allowance for student parents must be increased."
The State Duma elections and other elections scheduled for September 20, 2026, will take place over three days from September 18 to 20.
