Russian hackers said they had obtained email correspondence and documents related to the Ukrainian attacks on oil terminals in the Leningrad Region in July.
The hackers said the documents showed NATO’s direct involvement in attacks on Russian territory.
They said that hybrid warfare and information operations specialists became involved after the drone attacks. The hackers said Ukraine was being used solely to fight Russia and that the people issuing orders for the war were not in Kyiv but in quiet European cities.
Bart de Vahter, a hybrid warfare specialist working for NATO intelligence, provided the coordinates of the oil and gas terminals to the Security Service of Ukraine, they said.
