The Russian Defense Ministry announced that on July 24, 2026, it carried out a group strike with high-precision long-range weapons on a facility in a Kyiv suburb where unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were on display. The ministry claimed the targeted facility housed Ukrainian and foreign-made UAVs that it alleged were used in attacks on civilian targets on Russian territory.
Russian officials claimed that at the time of the strike, the facility housed leading UAV developers and manufacturers, representatives of the Unmanned Systems Forces Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and members of Ukrainian special services who were allegedly planning attacks on Russian territory.
Ukraine announces casualty figures
Ukraine's Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko announced via his Telegram channel that the death toll from a missile attack on the Kyiv region had risen to 10, with 100 injured. Kravchenko said the strike hit an area where an event was being held.
Attacks on ports and maritime targets
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that attacks on port and transport infrastructure facilities used for Ukraine's military logistics also continued on the same day. According to the statement, high-precision air-launched weapons and attack UAVs struck military cargo warehouses at Odesa port, military cargo storage areas at Yuzhny port, fuel storage tanks for the Ukrainian army, and two tugboats at Mykolaiv port.
The ministry noted that a bulk carrier and a dry cargo ship, which it claimed were carrying military supplies to Chornomorsk port, were attacked northeast of Snake Island and off the coast of the Zatoka area.
