Vladimir Rogov, head of the Coordination Council for Sovereignty and Integration of New Territories of the Russian Public Chamber, claimed that Ukraine has resorted to terrorist methods to cover up its failures on the front.
The situation on the front and terror allegations
In a statement to RIA Novosti, Rogov said, "The Zelensky regime, realizing that the Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot hold out against the Russian army on the front line, has switched to terrorist methods. Their goal is to try to destabilize the situation inside Russia and shake the people's trust in the government."
He argued that attacks by Ukrainian forces on Moscow and Crimea are being carried out to divert public attention from the unfavorable situation on the front.
Recent attacks and Russia's response
Rogov's statements came after a massive UAV attack on Russian regions on the night of June 18. Russian defense systems reportedly shot down more than 500 unmanned aerial vehicles that night.
On Sunday, it was reported that Ukrainian forces targeted the ferry line in the Crimean Peninsula and the Kerch Strait with UAVs, with civilian casualties in the attacks. The Russian Investigative Committee opened a terrorism case regarding this incident.
Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously stated that the enemy has expanded the use of UAVs to divide Russian society, but this cannot create serious problems for the country, and Russia will increase its attacks on enemy infrastructure to break its will to attack civilian targets.
