Severe rain, storm, and hail expected in Moscow today
The Moscow city department of Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations issued a warning for the capital, forecasting short-term rain, local downpours, thunderstorms, hail, and wind gusts of up to 17 meters per second until 9:00 PM today.
The Moscow city department of Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) announced that weather conditions in the capital will deteriorate today.
According to a statement from the ministry's press service, Moscow is expected to experience short-term precipitation, local heavy downpours, thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds gusting up to 17 meters per second during thunderstorms between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM on June 22.
The warning calls on city residents and authorities to be prepared for possible adverse weather conditions.
