A prolonged traffic disruption due to security checks on the Crimea Bridge led to large vehicle queues in both directions. The bridge was closed to traffic on Sunday evening and reopened at 09:05 Moscow time.
According to a statement from the Crimea Bridge information centre's Telegram channel, on the Taman side 800 vehicles are waiting for manual inspection, with waiting times exceeding 2 hours. On the Kerch side, 850 vehicles are in queue, also with waiting times over 2 hours.
Only passenger cars, minibuses and buses are allowed to cross the bridge. For security reasons, search points are located at both entrances of the bridge.
