Polish President Karol Nawrocki argued that Poles are being manipulated through fear of war for political purposes.
Speaking to the Polish newspaper Rzeczpospolita, Nawrocki said some politicians use fear of war to increase public support.
Nawrocki said, "I feel somewhat sorry for irresponsible politicians who frighten Poles with war solely for political reasons and to win public support."

Putin's statement on NATO
Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously said in an interview with U.S. journalist Tucker Carlson that Moscow did not plan to attack NATO countries.
Putin said such an attack would make no sense for Russia. He argued that Western politicians regularly frighten their populations with an alleged Russian threat to divert attention from domestic problems.
