The heavy rain expected to hit Moscow on Monday has mobilized the city's drainage services. Mosvodostok announced that it has deployed specialist teams and specialized equipment across the city's road network due to the anticipated rainfall.
Yevgeny Tishkovets, a leading expert at the Fobos weather center, told RIA Novosti that temperatures would reach up to 22 degrees Celsius on Monday and that brief rain was expected.
Mosvodostok, responsible for Moscow's drainage system, said in a statement on its Telegram channel that crews are checking the drainage infrastructure and cleaning water inlet grates to remove debris that could obstruct rainwater flow. Mosvodostok stressed that low-lying areas and locations near public transport stops are under special monitoring.
