A Just Russia leader and head of the Russian State Duma faction Sergey Mironov called for the creation of a quota to facilitate SVO veterans’ entry into public and municipal service.
Mironov’s proposal envisions reserving positions for war veterans in state institutions, municipal services, public companies and other businesses. The quota is planned to range from 2% to 4% for businesses with more than 35 employees.
Mironov said he expected deputies from the ninth convocation of the Russian State Duma to support the initiative. He also noted that the Duma includes many SVO veterans.

According to the A Just Russia leader, adopting the proposal would help people who served the country return to civilian life and develop themselves in another field.
Mironov also recalled on Wednesday that lawmakers led by Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin and senators of the Russian Federation had submitted a bill to parliament. The legislation provides for periods of service under contract and in internal affairs agencies to be counted toward seniority in municipal service.
Mironov argued that this approach fully aligns with the position of the President of Russia and the A Just Russia party that SVO participants should become the country’s new elite.
