French President Emmanuel Macron said his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in New York went well, particularly regarding the Russia-Ukraine war and the conflict with Iran.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, which took place as the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly was set to begin on Tuesday, Macron described the talks as “productive.”
Macron said he and Trump held a lengthy discussion on Ukraine and Russia. He added that the situation in the Red Sea was also addressed, saying the issue was important in terms of global prices.
