Around 100 journalists from federal, regional and local media were accredited for a press conference held at the Rossiya National Centre in Khanty-Mansiysk on Thursday, October 30. The meeting, attended by participants of the Infomir Yugra Forum, lasted three and a half hours.
Ruslan Kukharuk, governor of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, answered journalists’ questions and described the meeting as substantive and candid.
On his channel on the Max platform, Kukharuk thanked the journalists and bloggers. He said the questions helped the regional government assess the situation on the ground, adjust its plans in time and make decisions that meet the needs of Yugra’s residents.

The meeting also addressed cooperation between the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Tyumen Region and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The discussion covered support for young and large families, assistance for special operation participants and their families, and measures to facilitate servicemen’s transition to civilian life.
Journalists also asked about support for businesses, relocation from dilapidated and unsafe housing, the construction of social facilities and the development of regional infrastructure. The construction of schools in Surgut and a rehabilitation centre in Gornopravdinsk were among the projects discussed.
At the end of the meeting, Kukharuk said that questions about pressing issues had taken priority and that routine topics had not been discussed. The governor said he had provided as open and comprehensive answers as possible on matters affecting residents of Yugra, Tyumen Region and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
