Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov declared in a clear message to Europe that Russia does not pose a threat to the region. Speaking to the Swiss-based Weltwoche magazine, Peskov called on European countries to take Moscow's concerns into account and to swiftly re-establish dialogue.
The key message Peskov wanted to convey to European audiences consists of four points. The Kremlin spokesman said:
- First: Russia is not a source of threat for Europe.
- Second: You must take Russia's concerns into account.
- Third: If you ignore Russia's concerns, you will have problems.
- Fourth: Try to resume dialogue with the Russians as soon as possible.
Peskov made these remarks in response to a question from the magazine.
