Japarov says alliance pact with Azerbaijan will strengthen cooperation
Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov stressed the importance of alliance relations during his meeting with Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s National Assembly. Japarov said the agreement signed during Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Kyrgyzstan in July would strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
Alliance relations between the two countries and opportunities to expand cooperation took center stage during the meeting between Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov and Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s National Assembly.
Japarov said the agreements reached during Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s state visit to Kyrgyzstan in July were important for strengthening bilateral relations. He said the Agreement on Allied Relations, one of those agreements, would further develop cooperation.
Aliyev’s greetings conveyed
Sahiba Gafarova conveyed Ilham Aliyev’s greetings and best wishes to Japarov. She said that relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as interparliamentary cooperation, were progressing positively.
Gafarova said there was interest in further expanding cooperation between the two countries. The parties also assessed opportunities for cooperation in various fields.
Energy and transport on the agenda
Particular importance was attached during the meeting to trade and economic relations, investments, and cooperation in energy and transport.
